4 Women, 1 Man

VIVENNE is set in 1953 at the Saint-Lucie convent-hospital in Chamonix, France.  It’s the story of Sister Marie-Helene Rivet who is assigned to save the life of Vivienne Privernay, a severely ill woman.  Marie-Helene clashes with both Sister Elise, her colleague, and her own heart, as her relationship with Vivienne carries her back to wartime London and to Christian Locke, a man whom the two women knew long ago and who will very soon re-enter their lives.

'“ ‘It’s one of the most beautiful plays I’ve ever read,’ [Michael] McGovern says of the play, which will be performed in the style of chamber theater with actors at podiums and musical accompaniment... The Glitter Box will be transformed into a simulated candle-lit chamber to enhance the spiritual and romantic tones of the play.”
